Andre Maurice Henry

Our loving son and brother, Andre Maurice Henry, transitioned from this life on July 16, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 36. Andre was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey to Alton M. Henry and Evelyn C. Philmon Henry. Andre was a modern day Apostle Paul, in that he ministered to people from all walks of life. God allowed him to be used through social media, to encourage, uplift, and share the Gospel with individuals throughout the city, state, nation, and the world. At an early age, Andre loved learning and reading. He enjoyed gathering knowledge for the purpose of advancing his abilities to communicate and interact with individuals from all walks of life. He loved creative writing; his first book was written at the age of 11, entitled "The Revenge of Ritany". He was home schooled for several years before attending Worthington City Schools. He graduated from Worthington Kilbourne High School, Class of 2000. Andre received a full scholarship from the Minority Scholars Program to attend The Ohio State University. He was employed by Verizon as an Accounts Specialist. He attended Rhema Christian Center and was active in Sunday School, Youth Ministry and Drama Ministry. In addition to his parents, Andre is survived by his siblings, Christopher (Naomi), Derrick (Brittany), and Alicia (Arthur Norman, Jr); grandmother Evelyn E. Philmon; three nephews, five nieces, five aunts, four uncles, six grand-aunts, three grand-uncles, and a host of cousins, friends, Facebook friends, and family in the body building community.
