Beatrice Boykin

Mrs. Beatrice Boykin (Iverson), affectionately known as BB, was born March 23, 1918 to William and Lillian Iverson in Columbus, Ohio. She went home to be with the Lord on July 13, 2016 at Edgewood Manor in Westerville, Ohio. Beatrice attended Columbus Public Schools and was a proud graduate of East High School. Beatrice gave many years of service and retired from the Franklin County Welfare Department. Anyone that knew Beatrice Boykin, knew her unwavering love and support of her only church, Mt. Vernon A.M.E. Beatrice was a long standing member and served on various Boards at Mt. Vernon including; Nurse's Board, Planning Committee as well as The Old Gospel Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Boykin and her devoted son Thomas Boykin, brother Marion Iverson, her sisters Anna Iverson and Alice Steptoe. She leaves her brother, William Iverson; daughter-in-law Patricia Boykin; only grand-daughter, Keisha Boykin and her only great-grandson Jaylen Boykin Jones. Aunt Bea leaves a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. There are friends and family that will miss her humor and boisterous spirit.
