Clarence L. 'Sonny Boy' Pointer

Clarence L. “Sonny Boy” Pointer; Sunrise June 16, 1935 and Sunset October 3, 2014 at The Ohio State University Medical Center East. He was a graduate of South High School where he was a standout basketball player. He later went on to play semi-professional basketball for the M. C. Wines. Clarence retired from the 7 Up Bottling Company. He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Lofton; step father, Iley Lofton; sisters, Mildred Hunt, Corean Coleman; granddaughter, Shaneka Solis; great granddaughter, Bria Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory five children out of the union with Sara Pointer, Clarence G. (Anita) Pointer, Tina Solis, Pamela Gripper, Jeffery Pointer, Ramona (Chuck) Ragland; special nephew, Roger Hunt; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; many other relatives and dear friends.
