Cyril Eugene Nicol, Jr.

Cyril Eugene Nicol Jr. “Junior” was born on July 4th, 1980 in Columbus, OH to Cyril Sr. and Barbara Nicol. Junior graduated from Beechcroft High School with honors in 1998 and completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Franklin University in 2009. Cyril was an active member of First Church of Christ (Apostolic Way), where he was baptized at a young age. He participated in the men's group, usher board, choir, and financial committee. In his career, Cyril worked for several companies as a software engineer receiving multiple performance recognition honors. Most recently, he was employed with Fusion Alliance as a contractor for American Electric Power (AEP). In his personal life, Junior was an avid sports and music enthusiast. When he wasn't rooting for the Michigan Wolverines, Florida State Seminoles, Philadelphia 76ers and Eagles, he could be found listening to and creating his own music. Junior was a dedicated rapper, writer, and producer. Cyril Jr. consistently exhibited an unwavering faith in Jesus and maintained a family first mentality with a willingness to help those around him. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and loyalty. Cyril is preceded in death by his grandparents Claudius and Henrietta Nicol, as well as Thomas and Mary Pinckney. Cyril leaves to cherish his memory his father, Cyril (Shona) Nicol Sr.; Mother, Barbara Nicol; Brother, Claude (Jacqueline) Nicol; Nephew/Godson, Carter Nicol; Niece/Goddaughter, Lillian Nicol; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Also honoring his legacy are close friends Rahil Hughley, LaNardo Butler, Ernesto Gonzalez, Brack Goolsby III, and Bryan Goolsby.
