Eve Gleaves Lee departed this world in the early morning hours of July 6 2020 to reside eternally with her loving husband, Willie Morgan Lee, parents, Carrie and John Leach, and all of her brothers and sisters, and a host of many friends and relatives that went Home before her. Oh how happy she must be!! Eve was born ninety-four years ago on December 6 1925 in Princeton, Kentucky and attended Dotson High School and the C.M.E. Methodist Church there. She married at an early age and had four children, Tony, Betty, Jimmy and Bruce (middle names or nicknames). This marriage was not-to-be and she and children moved in with her mother (Mammaw) and father (Poppaw). While living in Princeton, Eve met her true love Willie (Bill) M. Lee. They married in 1957 and she enjoyed the adventurous life as a Army spouse throughout Bill’s active duty in Europe, Asia and North America. In Germany they met and spiritually adopted a young soldier named Phil (Dr. Phillip D. Williams) who thereafter has been a life-long spiritual and devoted friend. Bill suffered with a respiratory illness and departed this life in June 1, 1994 leaving Eve alone to prepare for their eventual reunion. She continued to be a faithful worshipper at the Faith Ministries Church in Columbus Ohio until her health began declining and she needed assisted living care. She then became a ward of her youngest son Phillip B. Gleaves and grandson Trevor A. Gleaves for her last seven years of life. Preceded in death are her parents, Carrie and John Leach, her loving daughter Carol (Betty) Fowler, siblings John Rose Leach, Margie Leach, Elloweze L. Phillips, Alma M. Bond, Paul Chester Leach, her twin brother Adam Leach and grandson Mark Gleaves. In Eve’s departure she leaves to mourn her devoted and loving sons Phillip Bruce Gleaves of Columbus OH, James Lawrence (JoAnn) Gleaves of Petaluma CA, Allen Tony (Chong Hye) Gleaves of Virginia Beach VA, grand children Trevor Gleaves, Christina Gleaves, Elizabeth Gleaves, James Fowler, Carla Vance, Shawn Gleaves, Belinda Broadus, Letitia Williams along with many great-grand children, relatives and friends. SHE IS AT PEACE! PRAISE THE LORD!!
