A.C. Halsell, 84, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Mount Carmel/St. Ann’s Hospital. A.C. was born in York, Alabama on February 22, 1936 to Mamie Parker. As a young man he moved to Columbus, Ohio where he resided most of his adult life on the Hilltop on the westside. He married his beautiful wife, Charlotte Louise (Lewis), who preceded him in death on November 26, 2009. They had 5 children together. He started his own construction business, A.C. Halsell Manhole Builders, Inc. He loved to fish and hunt. He was often seen in his overalls sitting on the porch, taking care of his hunting dogs, or talking with neighbors on the lot. A.C. was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael, granddaughter Elizabeth, and several siblings. He is survived by his children Antoinette (James) Miranda, Deborah (Keith) Bowers-Wilson, Mark Halsell, Teresa (Eric) Johnson and Brandi Jennings. He is survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter: Timothy Bowers, Troy Bowers, Michelle Miranda, James Miranda, Michael Halsell, Eric Johnson Jr., Royce Jennings, and Charlotte Bowers. He is also survived by his sister Earline Richards, brother Roosevelt Lard, his sister-in-law Margaret Tatum and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Beginning at 9:00 am, doors will open for a walk-through viewing. We encourage you to utilize A.C.'s memorial celebration wall to view his video tribute, send flowers and post an expression of sympathy and support for the family. A receptacle will also be available for on-site collection of sympathy cards and condolence letters.
