Albert Anthony Jones was born on October 14, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the third child of Herbert and Elizabeth Jones. Albert grew up in Columbus where he attended East High School. Albert received a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts from Wilberforce College in Wilberforce, Ohio. During his life, Albert was a man of love and service. He held several positions during his career dedicated to that commitment. Albert’s commitment and love for his fellow man will continue to be felt through his last loving act of kindness. Through his eye, organ, and tissue donations, Albert's legacy of love remains eternal. Albert was employed as the Environmental Manager with Fayette Memorial Hospital where his dedication to the service of hospital employees, staff and patients did not go unappreciated. He was loved by all. Albert was a loyal and devoted sports enthusiast. He was a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State Buckeyes; and, after retiring from the Columbus Battle Stars football team, Albert never ever missed an opportunity to be a part of the game. On May 4, 2016, our Heavenly Father called Albert from his labor to his reward. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Elizabeth F. Jones, maternal grandparents, Charles and Alberta Rachel Davis, and paternal grandparents, Herbert and Jeannette Jones, Sr. He is survived by his children, Angela A. Jones and Aaron A. Jones of Boston, Massachusetts, and Joseph Rawls of Detroit, Michigan; and father Herbert E. Jones Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia. He leaves his legacy of love to his four grandchildren, Arianna, Amare, Aisha, and Nasir Jones. Those left to honor his life and memory also include his sister Carman Augustine; brother Herbert E.E Jones, III (Karen Mix); nieces Tressa L. Augustine and Batista E. Jones; nephew Allan (Tonya) Hill; special friends Charles Ellis, Trace Castle, and estranged wife Ernestine Jones. Albert leaves a host of family, friends and relatives whom will forever cherish his love, loyalty and devotion. His beautiful spirit will remain forever in our hearts and in our acts of love and kindness in honor of our beloved Albert. “Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; always loved and forever missed”
