Alfred 'Big Al' Monroe

Alfred Monroe, 92, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Whitehall Manor of Care Center. Alfred was born on November 5, 1923 in Monticello, Georgia to Thomas and Adrienna Monroe. He worked day in and day out in the scrap yard for many years until his health needed medical attention which later caused him to retire. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Adrienna Monroe; wife, Virginia Monroe and daughter, India K. Monroe. Alfred’s loving memories are cherished by his children, Freda Callahan, Larry Fountain, Shannon Cooper and Rose Marshall along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and friends. Alfred will be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
