Alice LeVonia Price was born in Chattanooga, TN on February 28, 1921 to the late Harry and Ella Frazier. She was the middle child of 11 children. She was very active in the church. She and her late husband, Deacon Jack Price were members of Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ where she was a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, and President of the Prayer and Bible Band. After the passing of her pastor Elder Richard Holmes, she became a member of Greater Liberty Church of God in Christ. She retired from Ohio State University in 1983 and because of her love for the elderly, earned a nomination for the Jefferson Award. After retirement, she frequently visited nursing homes to pray and sing with the residents. She would often find out what they liked to eat and stop to buy their favorite snack. She was excited anytime she was invited to church services. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Price; 3 sisters Daisey Wirth, Flona Farley, and Mollie Crowder and 7 brothers, James Frazier, Harry Frazier, Charlie Frazier, Daniel Frazier, Jacob Frazier, Timothy Frazier, and David Frazier. She is survived by three loving daughters; Lois (Clifford) Adams; Marilyn Cole; and Theresa (Perry) Slaughter; seven grandchildren Tamara Cornelius, Victor Straughter, Jr., Dionna Gaskins, Leslie Cole, Wesley Cole, PJ Slaughter and Jackie Slaughter; 15 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and a very special person in her life Nadine Holmes.
