Allison Charlene Lyles born June 3, 1965, was called home on Thursday evening, February 21, 2013, surrounded by the peace of God. Allison’s commitment to God began at an early age. and there is no question that she is singing the highest praises to God! Allison graduated from Grove City High School in 1983 where she was part of the Track and Field team doing the shot-put and hurdles she also sang in the school choir. Her music instructor encouraged her to compete in the solo competitions at The Ohio State University where she received honors by achieving the highest rating for her stellar performance. She obtained her license as a cosmetologist and nail technician from the Ohio State School of Cosmetology, She received her Associates Degree in Medical Technology, she was ordained as a Minister October, 2011, by the International Fellowship of Covenant Churches. Allison was blessed with so many talents: writing, poetry, dance, music, arts and crafts in addition to the awesome gift of song. She served as a foster parent with National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) where she shared her special love for children who had been outplaced from their homes. Her desire was to help them heal through love. She fostered many children in the last five years. Allison was preceded in death by her great grandfather and great grandmother Jafus (Alice Ozella) Williams Sr.; Grandparents Pearline (Edgar) Christian and God Mother, Elder Rosa Conley. She is survived by her loving sons: Joshua, Josiah and Jordan Lyles; parents Patricia (Alphonse) Williams Sr, Father, Melvin (Jean) Lyles, Sr., siblings Melvin (Alice) Lyles, Jr, T’Ron (Tammy) Lyles, Timica Waiters, Juma “Mo” Lyes, Alphonse “Gene” Williams, Jr, Ana Williams, LaSonia Wiiliams and Chester Gulley; God Children: Elizabeth Allison Walton, Phillip, Whitney and Drake Walton, Katelynn and Kalina Wolfe, KiKi Joiner, Melva Hardy, Beighjah and Zyliyah McCauley and Jaylen Gills; special friends Joyce Walton and Ora Gonzales a host of family and friends who loved her and we can’t forget her precious little dog Toto.
