Alphonso Lamont Johnson

Alphonso L. Johnson was born February 27, 1979 in Columbus, Ohio, where he attended Marion Franklin High School. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age at Triedstone Baptist Church, and later rededicated his life to Christ later in his life at Family Missionary Baptist Church. After 17 years of employment at Wendy’s, Alphonso then worked three years at Cabela’s. He loved spending time with his family, attending his kids’ school and athletic activities, and traveling. He spent his weekends watching his favorite teams, The Dallas Cowboys and The Ohio State Buckeyes. On Monday, December 11, 2017, at the age of 38, Alphonso was called home by our precious Lord. He was preceded in death by his mother, LuWanna “Angel” Johnson, grandmother Blanche Edgerton, grandfather Naamon Johnson, brother Michael Johnson, stepbrother Victalio Mathey, aunt Nama McCray, and uncle James Edgerton, Jr. Alphonso leaves to cherish many memories, his beloved and faithful wife, Michelle Cleveland-Johnson; sons, Alphonso Johnson, Jr., Jondell Johnson, Avante Johnson, and Aylon Johnson; daughter Armarelle Johnson; loving adopted mother Barbara J. Peterson; father Robert (Arnetrice) Mathews; brother Curtis Johnson; sister Tremonty Johnson; stepbrothers, Keith Williams, Jr., Shottuan Galloway, Jeremy (Jessica) and Jamal Jones; stepsisters, Kenya Williams, Shotkenna Galloway, and Demetria Gardner; aunts, Pam Edwards, Gwen Galloway, and Janine Edgerton; special cousins, Kenya Williams, David Johnson, and Carmita Johnson; mother-in-law Sheryl D. Ray; father-in-law Michael L. Cleveland, Sr.; brother-in-law Michael L.
