Althea Marie Council

Althea Marie Council was born April 19, 1958 to Joseph Council and Garthene Robinson Council in Columbus, Ohio. A longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church, Althea graduated from South High School and earned her Associate’s degree from Franklin University. She retired with over 25 years of service as a Franklin County employee, and worked for the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles for nearly five years. On February 18, 2018, at the age of 59, Althea passed away while at the Select Specialty Hospital South in Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Garthene, sisters, JoAnnetta Council Truss and Deborah Council, and brother Kevin Council. She is survived by son Thomas Albert; brother Loren Council; aunt Loretta Davis; niece Garthene S. Council; nephews, Travis Beacon and William Gardner; and many more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special friend Terry Goins.
