Anna Maria 'Ms. Candy' Stewart

Anna Marie Stewart (Walls) better known as Ms. Candy went home to be with the lord on July 14th 2016 at Grant Medical Center. Candy was born August 27th 1957 in Columbus Ohio, and graduated from Mifflin High School in 1975 (Go Cowpunchers!) where she enjoyed playing basketball and singing in musical theatre. She spent a significant part of her life, approximately 25 years, employed by Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the Environmental Services/ Housekeeping department. Candy was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all. However, anyone who knew her would know that her most prized badge in life, was that of Mother. She was thoughtful, protective, giving, and loved her children endlessly, unconditionally. Her children and her family were her prized possessions. Her children and grandchildren were her life’s work. She was a loyal, devoted, and faithful servant to the lord. She held on to God's unchanging hand for the duration of her life on Earth. Over the course of her time in the church she served as a prayer warrior, singer, songwriter, choir director, pianist, and organist in the various churches where she was a member. She was a member most recently of Church of Jesus Christ. Candy enjoyed celebrating the little things in life and most notably enjoyed celebrating every single holiday in some way. She loved to decorate her home and have family around her. We will miss her singing, her cooking, her laughter, her counsel, and her unconditional love. We love her, and are faithful that we will see her again. Preceded in death by her father Paul Titus Walls, grandmother Janice “Mom” Frey, and aunts Julia, Peggy, Lillian Toola, Reida. She leaves to celebrate her life her mother Dorothy Mommy Walls, children Tina Stewart, Timeka Stewart, Tracy Stewart, TJ Stewart Alina Walker. Grandchildren Satema Nash, Sparkle Nash, Danielle Clay, Tremayne Clay, Terrence Clay, Staisha Brinkley, Shanye Brinkley, Aiden White. Sisters Domita “Dee”, Cheryl, Eugenia “Bootsie” and special niece Angie Chooke Walls. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many many friends including her many neighborhood adopted children over the years affectionately knows as “Ms. Candy’s Kids”
