Annie Lee Harp

Annie Lee Harp, age 93, passed away on October 6, 2018. Annie was born in Buchanan, GA to George Johnson and Mary Johnson, on June 5, 1925. She was preceded in death by George Johnson (Father), Mary Johnson (Mother); Deacon Fredrick Harp (Husband), as well as six (6) brothers and five (5) sisters. Annie moved to Columbus early in the 1940s, with her young son and then husband Augustus Cunningham, Sr. In the 1960s she met, and married, Fred Harp and they were married until his death in 1998. Annie held numerous jobs in both the healthcare and food service industries. Her last position, prior to retirement, was with the RG Berry Shoe Factory where she served as a latex machine operator. In 1966 Annie and Fred became members of Christ Memorial Baptist Church, where they served the Lord as participants in the music ministry and later on the Deacon & Deaconess Boards. In 2016, Deaconess Harp was named as a "mother" of the Church and was made an official member of the Mother's Board. After the death of her beloved husband, Annie found strength in her relationship with God and her church family. Annie love "digging in dirt", and was known for her beautiful flower gardens. She also loved spending time with family and friends; and her beautiful cat Missy. She leaves to mourn her passing Augustus (Lucie) Cunningham, Jr. (Son); Bryan Cunningham (Grandson); Martin (Carol) Cunningham (Grandson); Jatona "Toni" Cunningham (Granddaughter); Kathy (Sean) Mendenhall (Granddaughter); David Cunningham (Grandson); Elzora Johnson (Sister); Lynda Dickerson (Niece); Tona Dickerson (Niece); Gary (Karen) Howard (Nephew) and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Special Friends Beverly Muse (Neighbor); Morris Berkley (Deacon); and Ginger Cunningham (Daughter-in-Love). Public Viewing will be held Monday, 15th of October, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christ Memorial Baptist Church. Services for Annie Lee Harp will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at Christ Memorial Baptist Church, with Pastor Shedrick Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
