Annie Maude Putman

April 18, 1931 — September 19, 2020

Annie Maude Putman was born to the late Spencer and Ida Johnson on April 18, 1931 in Milton, Tennessee. She went home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband Freddie Putman, son Steve, sisters Maylou, Berta, Pearlie, Minnie, and Sallie, and brother, Lester. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Wilda Ann Putman, brother Joe Johnson (Charlotte), grandson Anthony Jordan (Yolanda), and nieces and nephews Linda, Spencer (Karen), Al, Nate, Lynn, Carrisa, James (Katina), Annie Sue, a host of great nieces and nephews, and great grandchildren Alyciana and Anthony Jr. Annie worked at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, TN. She then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, married, and became a homemaker and mother. She was widowed at the age of 35. She raised her two children with the guidance and help of the Lord. Annie served for more than 20 years as a missionary at Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Cleveland, Ohio. She also had a powerful healing prayer ministry where people would call or visit her to ask God for their healing. Annie had a heart for feeding the hungry. When she was a young mother, she always cooked extra and fed the hungry children in her neighborhood. Later, when she lived in senior housing, she cooked and delivered meals to the residents in her building who couldn’t cook. She did this until the time she entered a nursing home in 2018. Annie will be missed by many who loved her.
