Annie Ruth Allen, age 76, passed over, peacefully, into Supreme Freedom and Glory on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving husband of 47 years, Michael Allen, and loving family. Annie was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on Tuesday, June 26, 1945, to Loise Ray and Mary Green. She was retired from Franklin County Department of Developmental Disabilities. Annie was the loving mother of James (Jill) Smith, Lacy Smith, Demita Smith, Casandra (James) Smith-Bradley, and Darryl (Andrea) Smith; proud grandmother to Cleesia Smith, Jessica Smith, Darnell Smith, Dayson Smith, Shawn Smith, and James P. Smith; and proud great grandmother to Kurtis Ziegler, Alyssa, Aaliyah, Alex, and Atari Pheulonghong. Her nieces, Beverley Watson-Martin, Norma Martin, Latoya Bradley-Nalls, and Fatima Bradley-Afolorunsho; and many loving sisters and brothers-in-law; other family members; and many friends will all cherish her memory. Annie was preceded in Glory by her father, Loise Ray; mother, Mary Green; sister, Evelynn Bradley; and son, Lacy Smith. “Angles Never Die, They Just Live On In Our Hearts.”
