Anthony J. Burgess

Anthony “Tony” Jerome Burgess, on the morning of January 26, 2016 at the age 70 was called home to be with our Lord. He passed away peacefully at Kobacker House. Anthony was a brother, father and a special friend. He was born January 2,1946 in Newport News, VA to Ethelria and Florence Burgess. Anthony is survived by daughters, Coelett Burgess of Milwaukee WI and Ikya Burgess of Columbus Ohio; sisters, Geraldine Denotra Burgess of Newport News VA, Jacqueline Clementine Payne (Chatmon) of Cape Charles, VA, and brother, Reginald LaVelle Burgess also many nieces, nephews and many friends. Anthony was a very humble, loving and caring man, he served in the U.S. Navy, and was a graduate of Maryland University. Anthony and James Roseboro formed TY Construction Inc. in the late 90's. which operated for many years. Anthony was a dedicated member of the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church.
