MR. ARDILARS CUMMINGS JR., fondly called Jr., beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend was called home Tuesday, December 1, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sunday, January 15, 1950. Jr. was the oldest of nine children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Ardilars Cummings, Sr., Mrs. Mabel E. Cummings, and Mrs. Ruby M. Cummings; grandparents, Eardis and Luvenia Cummings; and sister, Arkis “Pat” Cain. He confessed Christ at an early age and held on to his faith until his last breath. Ardilars served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an accomplished chef in many establishments. He retired from The Ohio State University Hospital East in the Culinary Department. He is survived by his loving children, Krishawn (Jerome) Cummings, Ardilars Cummings III “Manne;” grandchildren, Kayshawnda, Cheyanne, Keashawnda, Da’nesha, Dennis, Zahara, Arjuan, and Ariyah. He is also survived by his siblings, Bridgette, Danny (Brenda), Kevin, Daryl (Donna), Adrian, Keith (Michelle), and Eric Cummings; as well as a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Jr. was an avid Cleveland (The Dawg Pound) Browns and Ohio State Buckeye fan. He loved when he was able to watch the games with his son, brothers, and nephews. His loving kindness, devotion to his family and friendships made him cooler than the other side of the pillow. Always humble and laid back. Rest easy. You are forever loved and will be missed by all whose lives you touched.

Beginning at 9am, doors will open for a walk-through viewing. For the mutual wellness and respect of those present, all visitors are asked to wear an appropriate face covering, apply an alcohol-based hand sanitizer spray upon entry, and maintain proper distancing according to current public health guidelines. We encourage you to utilize Ardilar's memorial celebration wall to view his video tribute, send flowers and post an expression of sympathy and support for the family. A receptacle will also be available for on-site collection of sympathy cards and condolence letters.
