Arthur Edward "Art" Lee was born in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Arthur James Lee and Edward Indiana Treadwell Lee. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Roberta Louise Redman Lee, his sister Lynne D. Lee, and grandson Arthur Joseph Lee. Art is survived by his children, Bonnie Lee, Craig (Lisa Tyus) Lee, Arthur Robert (Joyce) Lee, David (Kim) Lee, and Kylie Miles; grandchildren, Kendra (Kenny) McGaughy, Rachel Lee (Corey) Phipps, Craig A. Lee, Kathryn Lee, Sierra Lee, Brennan Lee, Kya Miles, and Jaylah Miles; great grandchildren, Kennedy Jackson, Stanley Jackson III, and one on the way. Cherished relatives also include special cousin, Elizabeth Galli; niece and nephew Jennifer and Jeffrey Portzline; and many more devoted cousins and friends. Art was educated in Columbus at St. Cyprian Elementary and St. Charles Borromeo Preparatory High School, graduating in 1952 as a student athlete and football star. He then attended Bluefield (West Virginia) State College and The Ohio State University. Art served in the United States Marine Corps from 1953-1956, followed by 33 years of service at the Defense Construction Supply Center (DCSC), where he received awards for technical skills and leadership. During his tenure at DCSC, Art concurrently embarked on a successful 52 year career in the real estate business, eventually as President and Broker of Art Lee Realty, Inc. He was a licensed broker for 44 years and real estate appraiser for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office for 25 years. Art's many affiliates include: - The National Association Of Real Estate Brokers - The Ohio Association Of Real Estate Brokers - Columbus Association Of Real Estate Brokers - The Columbus Realtists - The National Association Of Realtors - The Ohio Association Of Realtors - The Columbus Realtors He was a board member of the Ohio Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc., and treasurer of The Columbus Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc. He was Past President of Columbus Realists. Art was Zoning Chairman for the Near East Area Commission, served on the I-670 Corridor Business Advisory Committee, and on the board of Fifth Third Bank Community Development. He was also a member of the Catholic Diocese of Columbus' Committee for Community Service, and a Eucharistic Minister for St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
