On Monday, May 15, 2023, at the golden age of ninety-one years, Astory Montgomery received her wings and went to soar with the angels. She was born in Monroe, Georgia, on Wednesday, May 4, 1932, and raised in Atlanta. At the age of sixteen years, Astory moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she subsequently married twice and became the proud mother of seven children.

Although her life journey was permeated with enormous challenges, Astory remained steadfast in her faith and unwavering in her resolve to embrace life as a glorious gift. She was a super “Classy Lady” with impeccable taste and an immaculate sense of style. Her favorite passions and interests were sewing, fishing, and traveling as often as possible.

Although we are left to grieve, we are also filled with JOY ... giving all GLORY TO GOD Almighty that Sister Astory Montgomery has entered her eternal home in paradise and in the presence of the Lord. Astory was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and by her sons, Frank Benjamin Sullivan Ill and David Clark Sullivan.

Astory is survived by her daughters, Tina Marie (Ronald) Love, Angela Evette Harris, Venesa Diann Sullivan, and Asdon Le Montgomery; as well as her son, Michael Mark Montgomery; plus, fourteen grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends.
