Aubrey Keith Banks

Aubrey Keith Banks was born August 10, 1939 in Georgetown, Kentucky to loving parents, Robert Steven Banks and Anna Gabriella Banks. While living in Georgetown, Aubrey was educated in the Public School System. He graduated from Ed Davis High School. He attended the First Baptist Church in Georgetown, Kentucky, where he accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. Upon moving to Columbus, Ohio in 1959, Aubrey found employment at the Lazarus Department Store. Later he was employed at the Buckeye Steel Castings Company where he worked for over 40 years until his retirement. After he retired, he worked part-time at Securitas Security Services. Aubrey joined Bethany Baptist Church of Columbus, Ohio in 1962 under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. A. Wilson Wood. He was an active member in the church. He taught Sunday School, assisted with teaching Bible Study when needed. He has been Superintendent of Sunday School and was a current member of the Board of Deacons. Deacon Banks was an active member of Bethany for 57 years. Deacon Banks is preceded in death by his father Robert Steven Banks; mother Anna Gabriella Banks and brothers John Sidney Banks, Robert Banks Jr and James Alton Banks. He is survived by his son Darryl (Deidra) Banks; daughters Michelle (William) Johnson, Dyanna Banks; sister Meda (Raymond) Mason; brother Evon (Annetta) Banks; former wife Mary (Banks) Fowler; grandchildren Darryl A. Wood, Shiann Banks, Dezi Sullivan, Natasha (Kevin) Howell, William C. (Heather) Johnson, Brandon (Brandi) Johnson; a host of great-grandchildren; a host of many nieces and nephews including niece Angelia Mason (Dallas, TX), and many other relatives and friends.
