Audrey Hairston

Audrey Hairston, 88, was born on October 10, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William P. and Ella Bell Little Hairston. She took her flight to Heaven on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Audrey was affectionately known Auddie by her family and Ms. Audrey by those in the neighborhood. She loved to cook and enjoyed watching old western movies. She was a member of the Eastern Star organization where she served as secretary. Audrey was employed by Ohio State Medical Center as a Nurse’s Aide and would faithfully work the polls during election time.

Audrey was proceeded in death by her siblings William P. Hairston II, Norman L. Hairston, Kenneth Hairston, Raymond Hairston, Ricky Hairston, Lillian Shaw, Janet Carreker, Nancy Burkes, and Joyce Graham.

Audrey leaves to cherish her memory and will forever be missed by her son, Lawrence (Tracy) Hairston of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Sandra Hairston of Columbus, OH and Patty Lusk of Virginia; Grandchildren, Jana Phillips, Chakara Hairston, Malikah(Demitrius) Cotton, Lawrence Hairston; A special adopted daughter, Maria Hunte; Great-grandchildren; a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
