Barbara Ann (Lewis) Bowers

Barbara Ann Bowers was born August 5, 1939 to Lucille McDonald Lewis and Lawrence Lewis in Louisville, Kentucky. She passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at The Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. Barbara retired from Grant Medical Center after many years of working in the housekeeping unit, and was a member of Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies where she served as a Deaconess. She was preceded in death by both parents Lawrence Lewis and Lucille Moore, her sisters, Jenette Harper, Gloria Alexander, and Sherry Moore, brothers Lawrence and Robert Lewis, and brother-in-law Jerry Bowers. She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband Karol Bowers, Sr.; children, Karol (Heidi) Bowers, Brita Qualls, Karol Bowers, Jr. (Donelle), and Ishmeal Bowers; sisters, Betty Bowers, Peggy Joseph, and Joyce Hendricks; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
