Barbara Ray

Barbra Jean Ray was born on March 27, 1946 to Robert and Matha Ray. She was the 1st of 6 children. Barbra Jean affectionately called “Jeanie” passed away peacefully on October 29, 2023.

Barbra Jean took great pride as an employee at the Ohio State University and retired after 25 years of dedicated service.

She loved to dress and would only wear originals. No knock Offs Please!

Barbra Jean is preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers, Robert Ray “Pig”, Harrison Ray, and Beloved son, Twan O Jones.

She leaves to celebrate her life, Daughter; Torra (Torrence) Drakeford, grandson; Terrence Drakeford Jr, granddaughter; Tiara Drakeford, two great-grandsons; Man Man and Rell Rell, brother, Ronald Ray; sisters, Yvonne Lovingood, Martha Taylor, aunts; Barbra (George) Withers, Mary E. Porras, Phyllis Vaughn, Betty Howard, Uncle; Howard Truss, A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“Finally at Peace”

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9th, 2023 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following at Trinity Baptist Church, Columbus, OH. Burial will follow in procession to East Lawn Cemetery.
