Beatrice Louise (Smith) Harris, affectionately known as ‘Aunt Bea’, was born March 25, 1922, to the union of Orville and Clara (Madison) Smith. She peacefully went to meet her Lord on May 11, 2018, at the National Church Residences at Lincoln Village - Columbus, OH. She was educated in the Columbus Public School System and then moved to Cleveland, OH to attend the Cleveland City Hospital School of Nursing. Her nursing career covered a span of over 50 years in various hospitals and nursing homes in Cleveland, Akron and Columbus, OH. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Second Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Clara; husbands, Harold Moore and Alphonso Harris; brother, Russell; and sisters, Bernice Rice and Eleanor Penn. Beatrice had no children, but she considered and treated her nieces and nephews as her own. She leaves to celebrate her life and memory - five nieces and five nephews: Patricia Bridges, Jean Wilson, Joyce Penn, Sharon Penn and Beverly Rice; Walter, William, Michael, and Stephen Penn and David Rice. There are two cousins: Doris Beal and Dr. Connie Brown, many nieces and nephews who assisted in her care and many wonderful friends.
