Beatrice Mary Foster “Sweets”, age 85, was born in Newport News, Virginia. She gained her Angel wings on October 9, 2018, peacefully with family by her side. Beatrice Mary Foster “Sweets” retired from Mt Carmel Hospital as an Occupational Therapists and continued on working with Columbus Public School District with Children having Developmental Delays. A lifelong Christian, Beatrice was marked by two qualities: her devotion to her family as well as a warm and generous spirit that enabled her to make friends wherever life’s travels took her. She had a servant’s heart, a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh that will be missed but not forgotten. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Mable Cradle and Earnest Miles Grimes; sisters; Lucille Thomas, Loretta Lee Young and Bermadeem Brooks; and brothers; David Cradle, James (Buddy) Cradle, John (Sonny) Cradle and Leonard Cradle. Memories of Beatrice Mary Foster “Sweets” will be cherished by her husband, William Foster; sisters, Mary Grimes, Myles Grimes, Jr. (Aileen) of MA and Deborah Scott of FL; daughters, Dr. Kathryn Chilton (Dr. Earl Chilton), Annette Lipscomb, Kristina Skinner (Austin Skinner); grandchildren, Earl, William, Lafayette, Austin, Irene, Zachary, Michael, Hannah; and one great grandson, Zavyn; niece, Watura Finley; nephew, Michael Grimes; and a host of family and friends who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. In lieu of flowers, Beatrice's family humbly requests that friends and loved ones send gift cards to William Foster.
