Benjamin Isaac Richardson was born October 8, 1913 to Elder George and Mamie Richardson in Roanoke, Virginia. Bishop Richardson peacefully passed from this life into eternity at his home on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the age of 99 years old. Bishop Richardson was a World War II Naval War Veteran. He worked as an independent contractor and interior decorator for many years. As a teenager, Bishop Richardson was baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost in Steubenville, Ohio. He was an ordained minister of the Apostolic Faith in Jesus Christ. Bishop Richardson was founder and Pastor of the Refuge Church of Christ Apostolic Faith for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his adopted and natural born children, Ashley, Verna Ann, Lovenia June, Camilla Joy, and Prince Edward. Bishop Richardson is survived by his children, Evonne, Christine Ruth (Darrell) Hathaway of North Carolina, Kimberly Marie, Michelle Campbell, Benjamin W. Jr. of Port Richey, Florida, Gus of Boston, Massachusetts, Christine Dawn of Atlanta, Georgia, Brian Harris, Jessica Mae, Ruth Ann, Martha of Seattle, Washington, David, Christopher, Jacob Richardson, Joyce Richardson; 29 grandchildren; Bishop Richardson’s youngest and last surviving sibling, Thelma Benjamin and a host of other relatives, friends, and brethren.
