Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His saints. Psalm 116:15 (NKJV) Our Beloved Bennie Brown, age 96, passed away October 21, 2015 at home. Born to the late Harve and LeeBertha (Griffin) Brown on June 12, 1919 in Sharon, Georgia. He had 10 brothers and 9 sisters. Bennie’s beloved daughters, Ruth Dingess (2008), Cathy Brown (1995); and beloved grandson, Darrick Brown (1993) preceded him in death. He has a brother, Samuel Brown, living in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Brown had several accomplishments and gifts. He retired as supervisor from the City of Columbus, Division of Water. He enjoyed watching baseball and Old Western on t.v. In his later years, he enjoyed Christian television. Bennie’s greatest accomplishment and gift was receiving Jesus Christ as Lord of his life. That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV) His next special accomplishments and gift was marrying his beloved precious helpmate of 71 years, Hattie M. (Copeland) Brown. They had thirteen children: Ann Kenley, Nesby (Diane) Brown, Bennie M. Johnson, Ruth Dingess (deceased), Shirley Brown, Cathy Brown (deceased). Joyce (Robert) Phillips, Ronald D. Brown, Robin Jardia, Larry Brown, Linda Brown, Paul Brown, Penny Brown. He also leaves to cherish him a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Every Christian has a blessed hope; this hope is the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and eternal life with Him and God the Father! Praise the Lord!!
