Bessie Harris was born in Columbus, Ohio November 16,1946 to William H. Bolding Sr. and Thelma Hunter. She received her formal education through the Columbus public school system and attended a trade school learning furniture repair but ultimately retired from the Department of Mental Health as an Nurse Aide.
Bessie was a mother to one but it's no secret that she was a mother to many children in the family. Especially the babies. She enjoyed hanging out with her family, attending church, visiting Amish country and watching Bob Ross paint his canvases.
Bessie was a faithful member of Calvary Missionary Baptist church, Zanesville OH under the leadership of Pastor Keith Wyatt, Sr. before the lord called her home.
She is preceded in death by parents, William Bolding Sr and Thelma Hunter, brothers, JD Bolding, JW Bolding, William (Christine) Bolding, Jr and sister, Loretta Cabiness. Brother-in-law Ernest Hayden, step-mother Bernice Douglas, step-brother Arthur Matthews, step-sisters Betsy Stevens and Bertha Campbell.
She is survived by her son Lawrence H. Harris, sisters Mary Hayden, Phyllis Sims, Henrietta Hill-Murray and sister-in-law Arlene (Bolding) Vinson. Grandchildren Autumn (Alfred) James, Jasmine Hairston, Promise Hairston. Great-grandchildren Le'Ana, A'mya, Javontae, Marcus, Jr. and Ava Hairston and a host of other relatives and friends.
