Betty Jean (Glover) Harris

Betty Jean Harris, age 81, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2017, holding the hands of her daughters. Born February 2, 1936 in Linden, Alabama to Isaiah Glover, Sr. and Magadale Jackson. At the age of 16, she met and married Raymond T. Harris, Sr. -- a marriage that lasted 65 years until the time of her passing. She loved her family dearly. Having a successful career in real estate, she also loved traveling and bowling across the United States. A devoted and faithful member of Goodwill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Earnestine Jones and Ann Smith, brother Isaiah Glover, Jr., uncle Rev. Richard Byrd, and aunts Minnie Byrd and Louise Smith. Survived by husband Raymond T. Harris, Sr.; daughters, Fernessa Leigh and Michelle Scott; sons, Raymond T. Harris, Jr. and Robert M. Harris, Sr.; grandchildren, Kina Colbert, Domeion Mayo, Robert M. Harris, Jr., Raymond Harris, III, Erica Wilson, Tamara Wilson, and Raymond Wilson; sister-friend Ida Smith; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Special thanks to Pastor Jack R.
