Betty Lou Mickey

Betty Lou Mickey was born on Thursday October 05, 1939 in Chillicothe, Ohio. Betty was the youngest daughter born of Rose (Johnson) Sewards and Elmer Sewards. Betty was educated. Betty Lou Mickey, affectionately known as "Mommy" departed this life and has been reunited with her lifelong companion for 42 years Floyd Webb (Daddy) and her Heavenly Father, on November 03, 2021. She was kind, always helping others and a beautiful soul to have known. Betty was a retiree of the Healthcare industry with over twenty years' service as a Nurse's Aide and Dietitian at Isabel' Ridgeway, Rest Haven and Patterson's Health Center. After retirement, Betty still had a desire to serve, dedicating over 10 years as a Teacher's Aide at Refuge Daycare Center. Betty was a faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church for over forty years and served on the Usher Board. Mommy loved the blues and BB King. Every time he was in concert you would find her there in her three-piece white suit. Anyone who knew Betty, knows she loved her "Blatz". You'll find her with her Blatz in one hand and two stepping to some Down-Home Blues. She was famously known by the family for her pot of collard greens. And the Poindexter Village family loved her pound cake. Betty is the last of the Seward's family, preceded in death by her lifelong companion Floyd Webb of Cols, Oh., sisters Georgia Jackson, Sarah Netter, Dora Luckett of Chillicothe, Oh and Mary Smith of Columbus Ohio., brother's Stanford Sewards, Myers Sewards, Gilbert Sewards and Robert Sewards, her two daughters Pamela Mickey and Thora Lee Mickey and two grandchildren Anthony Mickey and Joshua Howard. She leaves to cherish her everlasting memory her three daughters, Betty (Brad) Coleman of Chillicothe, OH, Lora Dean Mickey and Nellie Sheree Mickey of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren: Obai, Butch, James, Quincy, Silas, Shanetta, Monique, Dontae and Devontae; great grandson Aamir Hayes, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
