Bettye Jean Lambert

Bettye Scott Lambert, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Scott; father, Joe Scott; brothers, Theodore Shelborne, David Scott, and Peter Scott; and sister, Beatrice Scott. She is survived by sisters, Ethel Scott Broome, Josephine Scott, Ruby Scott-Edwards (Anthony), Roberta Diana Scott, and sister-in-law Jewell Shelborne. She also leaves to mourn her passing four nephews: Derrick Broome, Anthony Scott, Tyrone Shelborne and Thaddeus Shelborne; two nieces, Monica Scott and Tayloria Reeder (Jodie) and many other relatives and friends. Before becoming disabled, Bettye worked for many years at the Federal Credit Union. She especially enjoyed watching professional football and basketball, western movies and thrillers. Bettye enjoyed doing 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles and word searches. While playing cards on the computer, she actively tried to analyze the game set-up in order to figure out how to win. She was wonderful at figuring out how electronics worked.
