Bobby E. Chandler, Sr., age 74, passed away on January 23, 2022. He was preceded in death by father, Davella Chandler, mother, Catherine Chandler, brothers, Vincent Chandler and Dave Chandler, and sister, Vivian Chandler. Survived by his wife, Marscha Chandler; daughters, Bobbette Chandler and Chandra Chandler; sons, Bobby E. Chandler, Jr., Chad Chandler and Brent Chandler; grandchildren, Darius Chandler, Ariauna Chandler, Essence Chandler, Amber Chandler, Elyshia Chandler, and Jaden Kendrick; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Wallace Chandler; sister, Marguerite Hearns (Chandler), host of nieces and nephews and many relatives and close dear friends. He retired from Columbus City Recreation and Parks, Bobby was an avid sports fanatic. As an athlete himself, Bobby was the captain of Central High School's 1966 Basketball team. With his continued education at Ohio Valley University, Bobby strived at being a standout basketball player and scholar which lead to his Athletic Hall of Fame Award in 2015. In 2019, Bobby was awarded the Lifetime Achievement for Community Service within Milo Grogan neighborhood. Bobby also contribute his services to Sawyer Recreational Center and many surrounding communities throughout the City of Columbus. Bobby's greatest achievement was his love for his beautiful wife of 52 years, Marscha, his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. His legacy, coaching, and mentoring will live on in All of Us as we celebrate the Life of Bobby E. Chandler, Sr.
