Brenda Joyce White (Taylor) was born in Roanoke, Virginia on May 2, 1948. She was one of four children (twin sister Linda, younger sister Muriel, older brother Wayne) to Norman and Ella Mae Taylor. On Monday December 27, 2021 the Lord Most High decided it was time to call Brenda home to rest. Brenda was brought to Delaware at the age of 3, and was a high school graduate of the Wilmington Delaware public school system. While living in Delaware she became a member of Union Baptist church under the late Pastor Otis A. Herring. Brenda was married by Pastor Herring to Olin D. White on April 14, 1973 after which she immediately moved to Columbus Ohio. Brenda was blessed to be the mother of two children (Mark & Monica White) and three step children (Olin White Jr., Lilly G. White, and JoAnn White). She was also blessed to have several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. During her life, Brenda was a stay at home mother who also greatly enjoyed being a home childcare provider for many years. She was often referred to as Momma White by the numerous children she helped to raise. Brenda loved to spend time with immediate family and friends, and greatly cherished every conversation she had with her extended relatives on all sides of the family. For fun, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, working on crossword puzzles, watching classic movies, and working with plants. Brenda is preceded in death by her husband Olin D. White; her parents Norman & Ella Mae Taylor; Sisters Linda L. Taylor-Bey and Muriel Taylor-Waddell; brother in-laws Edward W. Bey and Willie Waddell; and step daughter Lilly G. White. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children Mark (Rachelle) White, Monica White, Olin (Charlene) White Jr., JoAnn White; her brother Wayne Taylor; a host of grandchildren and many great grandchildren and as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
