Bryan Williams Aka "Bryan Scott"

September 16, 1963 — December 17, 2020

Bryan Williams (Bryan Scott) was born on September 16, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Carter Williams II and Sue Vaughn Williams. Bryan graduated from St. Ignatius College Prep High in 1981 and Columbia College in 1985 majoring in Communications. His strong passion for radio landed him morning show host position in multiple cities: Chicago (WBMX102.5) co-host Lauryn Nicole, Cincinnati, Ohio (WIZF The WIZ) co-host Kim Fox, Buffalo, New York (WBLK) co-host Kim Fox, Augusta, Georgia (WPRW) and Columbus, Ohio (Magic 98.9) co-host Daphne Bell, where he and his wife, Michelle, would settle down to raise their family. Bryan loved his family very much, and was always determined to make sure his family never went without. In addition to serving as a radio host, he tapped into promotions which became his passion and is now known as a promoting legend. His talent for promoting started in Cincinnati, Ohio and continued to grow in Columbus with Strutters, Studio 69, and the Funny Bone. Bryan Scott truly helped bring night entertainment to Columbus and served as a mentor to many of those who wanted to gain experience in the industry. As a father, Bryan almost never missed his son's basketball games. Every game he would beat the family there to get a good court side seat to cheer on his boys and record film. He enjoyed traveling out of town for AAU because that was what he considered our family time together. He was very proud of all three of his sons and wished he had more time to express that. Bryan is preceded in death by his father, Carter Williams II, grandmothers,Sarah Vaughn Power and Lottie Williams Miner, aunt, Sister Lucy Williams, and uncle, James Williams. Bryan leaves to cherish in his loving memory: wife, Michelle Williams, of New Albany, OH, mother, Sue Williams of Hazelcrest, Illinois, three sons Bylal Humphrey (Maggie) Columbus, OH, Carter Williams III and Bryan Williams II of New Albany, OH, step-grandson Gianni Michael Humphrey and soon to come grandson Asher Bryan Williams due April 2021, and a host of family and friends.
