Catherine Ellen Roebuck

Catherine Ellen Roebuck, affectionately known as ‘Cathy’, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 quietly at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born Catherine Ellen Borden in Gallia County, Ohio and is retired from Columbus City Schools, where she worked for 30 years. Cathy attended Rehoboth Temple Church of Christ and was active in her church home for over 35 years, where she served as church secretary for 5 years, choir member, usher, Director of Vacation Bible School for 10 years and was also active with the Prison Ministries along with her husband. Preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Sarah Borden, sisters Nancy Borden Franklin and Lydia Borden Robinson, brothers Alexander Borden Jr., Colonel Charles Borden, John Borden, Donald Borden, and Richard Borden. Leaving to cherish her memory are her loving husband of over 44 years, John Roebuck Sr.; children, Catherine A. Roebuck and John Roebuck, Jr.; her four sisters, Sarah Frazier, Margaret Cook and Carolyn Borden-Collins, Manzanita Casey; one brother, Ernest Borden; and a host of family and friends.
