Cecelia Harriet Henry was born on September 10, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio. Cecelia received Christ as her Lord and Savior in the 8th grade and was actively involved in her church community throughout her life. She was a member, organist, and youth Sunday school teacher at the Church of Christ of Apostolic Faith in Columbus, Ohio. She later went on to become a member of World Harvest Church, where she was a member for over 20 years. Cecelia was a wife to Samuel B. Henry Sr. since March 20, 1965, and a mother of ten children. Cecelia was also a lifelong learner. She graduated from East High School in 1964, and went on to earn an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy from Columbus State Community College and a Bachelors of Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene. She also graduated from World Harvest Bible College. Outside of her family and commitment to her faith, Cecelia worked as a Customer Service Representative at Simon and Schuster from 1986 - 1994 and as a substitute teacher in Columbus City Schools from 2005 - 2021. Cecelia's hobbies included bowling, primarily in the Rolling Wonders League and the Monday night women's bowling league at Piketon Lanes, among other bowling leagues, and playing music. Cecelia was a gifted musician, playing the piano, violin, guitar, and accordion. In her free time, Cecelia also enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. Some of her favorite destinations included Kissimmee, Florida, Hawaii, and Aruba. In her community, Cecelia served as a Franklin County Board of Elections Roster Judge for a decade, Little Lamb Bible Study member and treasurer, and World Harvest Church Kid's Harvest Youth volunteer. Cecelia is preceded in death by her father, Jasper Whitfield and mother, Florence Richardson. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Samuel B. Henry Sr.; their ten (10) children, Peggy K. (Michael) Holley, Penny K. (Mark) Henry-Handy, Dr. Patty K. McKinney-Henry, Samuel B. Henry, Jr., Polly K. (Darrell) Glenn, Pammy K. (Jarbrell) Maye, Prixxy K. (James) Taylor, Jay L. Henry, Pansey K. (Joel) Brown, and Lawrence A. Henry; twenty three (23) grandchildren; five (5) great-grandchildren; other family members and friends.

We encourage you to utilize Cecelia's memorial celebration wall to view her video tribute, send flowers and post an expression of sympathy and support for the family. A receptacle will also be available for on-site collection of sympathy cards and condolence letters.
