Cesheloia Agnes Whiteside, affectionately known as “Cee,” was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2011. She was a longtime member of the Hosack Street Baptist Church, where she was involved in many organizations. She was born in Coalwood, West Virginia and graduated from Excelsior High School. An avid bowler, Cee was also a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and Marion Franklin Recreation Center’s exercise programs. Predeceased by her mother and father Sallie and Clint Ferguson, loving husband James, and 15 brothers and sisters. She leaves to celebrate her memory, one son Larry Whiteside; three daughters, Nadine (Thomas) Lewis, Barbara Hairston and Linda Benson (caregiver); two sisters Queen Bush of Cleveland, Ohio and Della (William) Powell of Elkhorn, West Virginia; ten grandchildren; as well as her great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, adopted Godmother Mrs. Ruth Johnson, adopted children Sheila and Donley Kidd and family, and a host of other relatives and friends. A service celebrating her life will be held at 12 noon, Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Hosack Street Baptist Church, 1160 Watkins Rd. Dr. Jonathan E. Morehead, officiant. Mrs. Whiteside will lie in state at the church, Friday after 10 a.m., with family receiving friends from 10:30 a.m. until the start of service. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
