Mr. Chance Coleman was born July 9, 1980 in Columbus, OH to James Coleman and Imogene Burton. He graduated from Whitehall High School where he was a gifted athlete in football and track. Chance loved Buckeye football, video games, watching gangster movies, and sending time with family and friends. On Thursday, July 16, 2020, Chance passed away peacefully. He was preceded in death by his mother Imogene Burton, grandparents Ella Coleman Hinton, Johnny Burke, and Eugene and Martha Montgomery, aunt Katrina Coleman and Keith Coleman. Chance leaves to cherish his memories his father, James Coleman; children, Terryuan Kendricks, Cameron Coleman, Chance Coleman, Jr., and Chloe Coleman; siblings, Dwand Montgomery, Shaveh Williams, Charles Burton, Jr., Zachary Clark, and Madison (Jacob) Lampron; god brother, Karlo Reid; aunts, Marie, Bonita, and Pumpkin; uncles, Eugene “Skip”, Bryan, Ralph, and Terrance; ten nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Chance's village which includes the Burton, Broom, Howard, Chambers, Muse, Ellis, Turner, Reid, Hutchins, Heard/Walker, Hayden, and White families.

Beginning at 1:00 pm, doors will open for a walk-through viewing with staggered admission of up to 10 people at a time. For the mutual wellness and respect of those present, all visitors are asked to wear an appropriate face covering, apply an alcohol-based hand sanitizer spray upon entry, and maintain proper distancing according to current public health guidelines. We encourage you to utilize Chance’s memorial celebration wall to view his video tribute, send flowers and post an expression of sympathy and support for the family. A receptacle will also be available for on-site collection of sympathy cards and condolence letters.
