Mr. Charles Johnson passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020. He was born on August 9, 1945 in Valdosta, Georgia and was reared in Columbus, Ohio since the age of six months. He was a faithful member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church for over 46 years and a Sunday School teacher. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Johnson; mother, Tommie Folks; children, Aaron (Donielle) and Adam (Nakita); siblings, Marilyn, Hubert, Roger and Vinna; grandchildren, Aaron Jr., Ashely, Ahmaya, Christian and Aric; great-grandchildren, Alexander and Amira; and a host of nieces and nephews. Charles graduated from East High School in 1964 and was enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968. He attended Franklin University and was employed as a drafting engineer. He enjoyed playing the game of chess, drawing, taking pictures, listening to classical and jazz music and just hanging out with family. Charles, nicknamed CJ, was a great dad and a loving husband. “Wife” and “Husband” were the terms of endearment affectionately used by he and Pat. Charles Johnson never met a stranger and made you smile whether you wanted to or not. He always had a happy disposition in spite of life circumstances. Charles Johnson had a very kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace!
