Charlotte Eileen Pryor

Charlotte Eileen Pryor was born October 28, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio. A graduate of East High School and The Ohio State University, Charlotte entered the field of social work, and obtained employment with the State of Ohio, then the City of Columbus, where she retired after forty years of service. She was a devoted member of Second Baptist Church for over 70 years, where she enjoyed serving others. She assisted with administrative duties that included organizing and preparing meals for events and assisting office staff at the church and volunteering wherever needed brought great joy to her life. On January 10, 2019, at the age of 91, Charlotte departed her earthly life while at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. She was preceded in death by her father Carl Smith, mother Rachel Smith (Anderson), brother Reuben Otis Smith, son David, daughter-in-law Marilyn, and grandson DaWit. Those remaining to cherish memories of Charlotte include her brother, Arnold Smith, husband of 67 years, Ralph L. Pryor; son, Dale; daughters, Theresa and Tracey; granddaughter Sydney; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
