Chico Eugene Long

Chico Eugene Long, the son of Cynthia Lawrence-Long and the late Dennis Earl Long was born on October 25, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio. Today, we are gathered to celebrate the legacy of Chico. Let us remember his keen sense of humor, contagious smile, fondness and the love he showed to all he met. Chico was a 1987 graduate of South High School. He worked as a brick and concrete mason and enjoyed his music and fishing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Chico departed this life on March 13, 2011 at Grant Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Long, maternal grandparents, Edward Lawrence Sr. and Margaret Lawrence, paternal grandparents, Earl and Margaret Long, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Those left to cherish his memory are his son Myran; daughter I-Yana and her mother Nicole Lindsey; daughters Candace and Shania; mother Cynthia Lawrence-Long; special friend Heather West and her three children, Breana, Brooklynn and Be Be; uncle Edward Lawrence Jr. (Susan); aunts JoAnn Helm and Deborah Lawrence; stepsister Shanell; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
