Chloe Jacqueline Mitchell was born March 8, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio. She was the first of three children born to the union of Edison and Florida Wood. Chloe graduated from Dublin High School and Franklin University. At age 19, Chloe married Charles ‘Frank’ Mitchell on the wedding anniversary of her parents on December 21st. She was a devoted, loving and exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A devoted servant of God, Chloe was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church, participating in the choir and playing the piano. She ministered to family at home after the church discontinued. She loved to create ‘Sunshine’ gift boxes for the ill and host breakfast outside in her prayer garden for family and friends. She was very artistic in a variety of fields such as home decorating, cooking, furniture restoration and gardening. She loved garage sales/flea markets and she made magic every year at her yearly family Christmas parties. On March 7, 2013, God called Chloe home where she joined her mother Florida Wood; father Edison Wood; husband Charles ‘Frank’ Mitchell and many others. She is survived by her three children, Cynthia (William) Johnson, Charles (Terri) Mitchell, Jr. and Nicole (Harry Williams) Heines; brother, Charles D. “Buddy” (Claudia) Wood, Sr.; sister, Gwinevere (Manning) Baumgardner; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
