Chrissie A. Wilson was born June 25, 1943, in Rocky Mount, Virginia to the late James E. Patterson and Thelma M. McGee-Patterson. She departed her life on April 9,2021 at the residence of her granddaughter, Cheree. Chrissie graduated from South High School in 1961. She retired from the United States Postal Service as a Supervisor. She was a very proud and loving woman who thought no one could do wrong. Chrissie wore a smile on her face even when she was feeling bad, she never complained. She attended Second Shiloh Baptist Church. She was a member of the Postal Choir and the Patterson singers family choir. Her hobbies included sewing where she made several dresses for prom, weddings, uniforms, you name it, she loved to sew. She also loved to cook and made dinner for her children and grandchildren every Sunday. Chrissie worked in the yard with her flowers, it seemed like every day, if not every other day. She often sat in her favorite chair, in the kitchen working her numbers, and going to the Casino when ever she got the chance which was the highlight of her week. She also loved babies. She always had one or two she watched. They all knew who granny was. In addition to her parents, James (Ernestine) Patterson and Thelma McGee-Patterson, Chrissie is preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Wilson; daughter, Renai M. Payne; brothers, Albert E. Patterson and Kenneth Patterson; and nephew, Albert Patterson Jr. She leaves to cherish her precious memories daughter, Leondra (Willie) Thompson; sons, Albert (Denica) Wilson and Shawn (Tanika) Wilson; brother-in-law, Sam (Priscilla) Wilson; sisters-in-law, Marcella Patterson and Barbara (Howard)Thornton; granddaughters, Amber Wilson, Cheree (Demario) Ridley, Mekiiah Macon, Tiara Wilson, Catrice (George) Hill, Akili Wilson, and Tae-Janiq Wilson; grandsons, Aquil Wilson, Elijah Macon, Bruelle Thompson, Shawn Wilson, Jr., and Tresean Wilson and 15 great grandchildren with one on the way, and a host of family and friends.

Beginning at 9am, doors will open for a walk-through viewing with staggered admission of up to 10 people at a time. For the mutual wellness and respect of those present, all visitors are asked to wear an appropriate face covering, apply an alcohol-based hand sanitizer spray upon entry, and maintain proper distancing according to current public health guidelines. We encourage you to utilize Chrissie's memorial celebration wall to view her video tribute, send flowers and post an expression of sympathy and support for the family. A receptacle will also be available for on-site collection of sympathy cards and condolence letters.
