Christopher Juan Prater

Mr. Christopher Juan Prater Sr. was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on December 28, 1969 and departed this life in Columbus, Ohio on August 17, 2018 with his family at his side. He was the 8th child of Earl and Emma Prater. He attended Briggs High School and later received his GED form Godman Guild in 2013. His dream was to become a professional chef and own his own business. He had wish to visit Italy in the coming year. Christopher was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan from an early age. He also loved his Alabama "ROLLTIDE" but also was torn between them and the Buckeyes. He loved his family without doubt. He started many family traditions such as kickball, baseball, and cookouts at the beach. Later in life he got the bug to travel and he was learning to play the guitar. He had the love to ride motorcycles. He is predeceased by his parents Earl and Emma Prater, father and mother-in-law Samuel and Carrie Hutchins, sister Carolyn Prater, brother-in-law Angelo Hutchins, and nephews Ligmund Prater and Maurice Hall. He leave to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Pamela Prater; children, Fawntasha', Christopher Jr., Kadejah, Jeremy, Urijah, Jayden, and Gabriele; stepchildren, Larry, TaLisa, Curtis, Maurice, Malcolm, Tamia, Marcel, and Mark; his Godchildren, Shmana, Damond, Onmare, Daia, Keaisha, and Dezaryo: grandchildren; Zakai and Takyia; step grandchildren, Xaviante, Novalee, and Zaaliyah; brothers, Earl Jr., Tony, Wayne (Tonya), and Nicholas Prater; sisters, Deborah (Richard) Cook, Tina Hartway, LaShonda Prater, Anjanquette (Frederick) Groce, Rosalyn Prater and Sherry Prater; brother-in-laws, Mike (Tina), Lyn and Samuel Hutchins; sister-in-laws, Shirley Kelly, Etta Morris, Mary Hutchins, Jacqueline Scales, and Sophia Hutchins Robinson; and a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and friends including his ex wife that cherished him dearly.
