Christopher S. Gibbs

Christopher Sherod Gibbs, aka Frankie, was born on August 24, 1974 to Cheryl L. Gibbs and John C. Gibbs Jr. As a child he was a member of Lord of Life Fellowship Church. He attended and graduated from Linden McKinley High School, where he played on the varsity football team. Chris had a natural skill for cutting hair and was a very talented sketch artist. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, football and watching sports., He was also a lover of music and movies. Chris was a long time employee of Pierce Cleaners and worked part time for Mayfair Village Nursing Home. On the morning of Thursday, April 14, 2011, he went to be with the Lord. Although it will be difficult not having him physically in our lives each day, we rest in assurance that he will live on in our hearts forever. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John C. Gibbs Sr. and maternal grandmother, Martha L. Lee. Left to cherish his memory are his mother and father, Cheryl and John (Regina); children, Porcha, Dion and Da'Kwon; brothers, John Gibb III and Rod Byers; sisters, Shutonda Orr, Cenita Gibbs-Adams and Crystal Gibbs. He also leaves behind a host of very special aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends.
