Clarence Edward Hordge was born on June 21, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to Clarence Reavling and Kathleen Hordge. He went to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 06, 2013. He attended Linden McKinley High School. At age 18, he enlisted and served 12 years in the U.S. Navy, where he received his GED. After leaving the Navy, Clarence worked several jobs. As a child, Clarence attended Refugee Baptist Church, where he was baptized by Rev. Harrison. Upon his return to Columbus, Ohio he attended Hopewell Baptist Church were Rev. Bennie Colquitt was his pastor. Clarence loved to fish and play pool with his aunt, Lynetta Carter. He is preceded in death by his biological father, Clarence Reavling; foster parents, Johnson H. and Beulah Moore and brother, William Burks. He leaves to cherish is memory, his parents, Lawrence and Kathleen Pegram, children: Nicole (Reggie) Armstead, Octavia (Jude Maitland) Hordge, Tyre (Eric) Cheadle, all of Surprise, AZ; Britany Pruiti-Hordge, OH; grandchildren: Rashod Armstead, Rashaum Armstead, Reginald Armstead, Naomi Armstead, Natavia Florence, Meya Hordge, Cedric McFadden, Tivon Taylor, Khaleal Cheadle and Zakirah Cheadle; siblings; Ronald (Deborah) Hordge, Mansfield, OH, Josephine (Carl) Bates, Marlena (Amos) Brown-Woods, Petersburg, VA; Robert (Valera) Burks, Laurel, MD; Frank Thomas, Bobby Thomas and Willie Thomas, all of Columbus, OH; Chris Thomas, FL; ex-wives; Gail Stokes Malone and Florence; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
