Clarence Michael Ross

Clarence Michael “Mike” Ross was born April 29, 1949 in Arista, West Virginia from the union of Waverly C and Betty L Ross, the second of five (5) children. He departed this life on Thursday, October 18, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio. Mike attended Columbus City Schools. He joined the US Marine Corps and served our country during the Vietnam War receiving an honorable discharge in 1971. He began a college career at Columbus State Community College in January, 2018. He loved sports, the outdoors and traveling. He played baseball, basketball and even tried to be an amateur boxer. His father taught him all about fishing which became one of his passions. Mike was a hard worker and always had a job or two. His work history includes the Columbus Dispatch, Nabisco (Los Angeles, CA), Buckeye Steel Castings Company, North American Rockwell, McDonald Douglas and a number of janitorial and private security companies in Columbus. He also did Motivational Speaking at several educational and entrepreneur events for the OSU Extension Center. His love for painting and detailing cars eventually led him and his wife to open Bunny’s Car Care, an auto paint and detail business (1993 -2007). He was baptized at St. Phillips Church and accepted Christ into his life at Columbus Bibleway Church. He was an active member at Living Waters Christian Fellowship where he served in the Men’s Fellowship Ministry and LWCF Choir. He is preceded in death by his parents Waverly C and Betty L Ross; brothers, Romie R Ross, Anthony W Ross and Rev Vincent C Coles; sister, Roxanne Y (Ross) Johnston; parents in-law; Irvin C Lewis and Joyce M Lee. Mike leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 26 years Adrienne V; children, Brandon L and Nicholas A Ross; sister, Karen Ross Tinsley; sisters in-law Pamela M Coleman, Dana L Ross, Tonya Johnson, Kim Coleman and Renee Caldwell; nieces Rachelle D Ross, Roszell D King, Robin C Broussard and Renee A Davis; nephews, Rashaun D Tinsley, Vincent C Jr and Andre Coles; Aunts in-law Era Pries and Lois Starks; Special cousin, Laura W Trayvick; Brothers in Christ, Jeff Palmer and Harvey Sims; many cousins; other relatives and friends.
