Clarissa Renee 'Whistle' Greathouse

Clarissa Renee Greathouse was born August 9, 1972, in Columbus, Ohio, where she resided her entire life. Her loved ones and friends knew her more affectionately by the nickname, Whistle. Whistle accepted Christ as her personal Savior, at a young age, while attending Union Grove Baptist Church. As an adult, she joined The City of Zion and enjoyed her fellowship there until her illness would not let her attend physically. Whistle is a graduate of Centennial High school. She received her certification from Everest Technical Institute in the Medical Assisting program. Whistle was currently attending Franklin University in the Nursing program. Before her illness, she was employed at Burge/Willglo Services as a Direct Care Aide. After a brief illness, Whistle's sunset was on Wednesday, September 18th, 2013, at her residence while in the arms of her sister. Whistle was full of faith to the very end and listened to her favorite song “ Take Me To the King” everyday! She was preceded in death by her baby brother Quan Greathouse, grandmother Audrey Lee Greathouse, uncle Larry Darnel Greathouse, and cousin Gregory Greathouse. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Le’Asia Renee Harrison, a student at Wright State University and Lashay “Love Joy”; mother Brenda Greathouse; sisters, Cyniqua and Cynquala Greathouse; brother Derrick Greathouse; nephews, Quann, Tay, Sheed, D.J., Stephen, Stephano, Stephon, Milo, Raja and Kayden; nieces, Nana, Stefphany and Seven; great nephew, Jr.; best friend Twanita Edwards; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
