Clyde Boyd Sr.

Clyde William Boyd, Sr. was born in Catawba County, South Carolina on July 21, 1932.

He was the first of two children born to Edward Boyd and Lula Mae Boyd.

Clyde was also known to his family as C W. He along with his parents and younger brother Earnest, moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where he was raised. He and his family later, moved to Columbus, Ohio in the early 1950's.

In Columbus, Ohio, Clyde began his family. His children: Alonzo L. Boyd; Elenia L. Boyd, Arthella M. Boyd, Clyde W. Boyd, Jr., Cathy A. Boyd, and Charles E. Boyd.

Clyde worked at North American Industries, Beasley-Grove Ford, and with the City of Columbus where he retired from a management position. Besides loving and caring deeply for his Family, he also loved playing golf and was extremely good at it. Proof of that, is from his winning multiple tournaments.

In 1979, Clyde met Mary F. Chaney and they married in 1980. This union resulted in a Blended Family of 12 children. Clyde's original six children, plus Shirley Chaney, Dorothy Chaney, Robert Chaney, Mary Ann Chaney, Vickie Chaney, and Audrey Chaney.

Clyde loved Jehovah God and enjoyed sharing Jehovah's word each and every time the opportunity arose. He also enjoyed and loved his family of the

Kingdom Hall.

Clyde was a very loving and trusting person who really enjoyed people. His friendly, kind spirit will forever touch those who were both near and far to him.

Clyde departed this life on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 91 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lula Mae Boyd;

his brother, Earnest Boyd; his son Alonzo L. Boyd; his step-daughter Mary Ann Chaney; his step-daughter Vickie Johnson; his granddaughter Tanisha Boyd;

his step-granddaughter Londette Chaney; and his loving wife Mary Frances Boyd;
